Chronic pain is defined as pain that lasts longer than six months. It can be mild or excruciating, episodic or continuous, merely inconvenient or totally incapacitating. With chronic pain, signals of pain remain active in the nervous system for weeks, months, or even years.

 

If your pain cannot be tied to a particular injury you’re more than likely experiencing symptoms of “musculoskeletal dysfunction”. Essentially, you’ve got some muscles that are underworked and some that are overworked and this can cause your skeletal system to move out of its proper position. You see, bones do what muscles tell them to do. And in order to get your skeletal system back in alignment you need to reteach the offending muscles to perform the tasks they are designed to do.

Mind-body practice that combines stretching exercises, controlled breathing and relaxation.
